This is your PSA to remind yourself to go drink an extra glass of water today, especially after that workout, woof!

We’re going to keep it short and sweet this week as all of our brains are working overtime during all this humidity and heat!

Days like this remind me that every day, I have a choice of where to focus my attention: either deep into a vortex of complaints, lack of productivity and excuses OR toward a place of momentum, focus, and growth.

What if we consider that every thought we have is not a command but rather a choice? Your mind might be suggesting that you don’t workout today, or that you cut the reps in half or that you take an easier path. But if you allow the space to do so, you might also find that your mind has some suggestions about how you might feel if you stick it out.

My mind is suggesting that if I just stick it out now, I’ll feel better about sticking with my habits. I’ll feel more accomplished. I’ll continue to embrace the identity that I can do hard things.

How can this apply to “regular” parts of your life? Mine came today when I just didn’t want to sit in the gym for a meeting at 3pm when it’s 95 degrees. But I know that if I just show up, our meeting will alleviate so much planning stress and rearranging, and in result, it will help me feel more accomplished and allow me to get more done this week. How can you relate? No matter how you do, give yourself some grace.
